– Must be Legally entitled to work in Canada

– Self Identify if First Nations

– Must be able to lift bend children and objects over 20 lbs.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Makoon Transition Inc. is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable individual to join our team as a Family Room Summer Child Care Assistant. The successful candidate will support the daily operation of the Family Room by providing a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children while ensuring the space remains clean, organized, and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• ●  Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and outdoor play.
• ●  Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children utilizing the Family Room.
• ●  Provide attentive and compassionate care to children of various ages.
• ●  Maintain a positive and inclusive environment for children and families.
• ●  Clean and sanitize toys, equipment, and activity areas.
• ●  Complete daily housekeeping duties to ensure the Family Room remains clean and organized.
• ●  Assist with preparing activities and supporting Family Room programming.
• ●  Work collaboratively with staff and families.
• ●  Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• ●  Experience working with children is considered an asset.
• ●  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• ●  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• ●  Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children.
• ●  Current First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.

Requirements Successful applicants must provide:

• ●  Child Abuse Registry Check.
• ●  Adult Abuse Registry Check.
• ●  Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
• ●  Agree to random drug testing

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
